Who am I?
Hi! I’m Kevin RUBY, an amateur photographer based in Metz, France. My creative journey began in the early days of the internet, when I experimented with image editing and graphic design. Over time, that passion evolved naturally into photography, a medium that allows me to express emotion, atmosphere, and authenticity.

My Journey
- 2014: I bought my first DSLR — a second-hand Canon 1100D with an 18–55 mm lens. That’s when everything clicked (pun intended): I realized that photography isn’t about the gear, but about perspective, emotion, and storytelling.
- I quickly dove deeper into the craft: learning light, composition, and upgrading to a Canon 6D Mark II with prime lenses (50mm & 85mm).
- Today, I focus primarily on natural light portraiture, aiming to capture honest, human moments with a clean and minimalist aesthetic.

My Creative Approach
- Authenticity first: natural light, minimal retouching, and always respect for the subject.
- People-centric: I love portraits — faces tell stories words can’t.
- Constant exploration: while portraits are my focus, I also enjoy experimenting with landscape, urban, and documentary-style photography to expand my perspective.
